Margherita Miramonti was born in Magenta in 1995, she began playing the violin at the age of five. Aged eight she went to the Milan conservatory from where she graduated in the class of maestro Daniele Gay, with top marks, honours and special mention in 2013. She then completed a two-year course in chamber music for strings and graduated in October 2016 with top marks and honours under maestro R. Tarenzi. Since 2013 she has taken the courses held by maestro Ilya Grubert at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Portogruaro. She has played in a range of concerts at the Milan conservatory as lead first violinist as well as in other prestigious orchestras. Since winning an international competition in 2017 she has a permanent position at the “La Fenice” theatre in Venice and at the same time plays in numerous concerts. She has come first in national and international competitions both as a soloist and for chamber ensembles. She has also been awarded a number of scholarships: the “Academia Servorum Scientiae”, the “Arnaldo Roncati”, the “ASSAMI", the “Donna 8 Marzo 2014", the “Pina Carmirelli" and the "Premio del Conservatorio" of Milan for chamber music.
