Ilaria Lanzoni was born in Florence and began learning the violin aged eight. In 2008 she graduated with top marks under the guidance of Alina Company. She went on to study with Ida Bieler at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and with Francesco De Angelis at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne. She has won numerous awards including first prize in the international competition for young soloists “Concorso Musicale dell’Adriatico”, she won a scholarship at the Rassegna Nazionale Violinisti in Vittorio Veneto. She has played in concerts across Europe, in Israel, China, Japan and the United States. For two years, from 2012, she toured with the prestigious “Gustav Mahler JugendOrchester” and has played in several international orchestras, the JungeKammerphilarmonie NRW in which she was concertmaster for two years, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Filarmonia of Oviedo. Since 2017 she has been playing with I Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino orchestra, the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, the Bologna philharmonic and the Teatro Comunale orchestra in Bologna. She is also often invited to play in innovative international orchestras like the Orchestra of Europe, the European Philharmonic of Switzerland and the Leonore Orchestra in Pistoia.
