Chiara Borghese, born in 2000, began studying the violin at the age of 8 with L. Bjelakovich and L. Santaniello. In 2010 she entered the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan in M. C. Carlini’s class with whom she is still studying and where she completed a three year degree course in 2018 with the highest honours. She took master classes with important soloists including I. Grubert and A. Moccia. She has played in several orchestras, sometimes as lead violinist, with conductors of the calibre of D. Gatti, G. Noseda, O. Dantone, C. Rovaris, M. Gamba, D. Rustioni and M. Mariotti. She has played as soloist with the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, the LaVerdi jr orchestra, the Zinaida Gilels chamber orchestra, the Senzaspine orchestra and the Milan Conservatory orchestra. She has given recitals for important associations and festivals including the “Società del quartetto di Milano”, “Milano per la Scala” and “MiTo”. She has won first prize in several national and international competitions such as the Concorso A. Salieri and in 2016 she was awarded the second prize in the Milan “Premio del Conservatorio”. In 2017 she took part in a production by the University of Kansas in the USA and in May 2018 she took part in trio at the Music Student International Festival of Kyoto. Since July 2018 she has been playing in LaFil – Milan Philharmonic.
